Hello dear reader!
I’m Veronika, another Millennial who wants to be part of saving the world. I focus on a positive narrative about Sustainability and change it from a crisis into an opportunity perspective.
Imagine freely! This is an invitation for you to join me. I will provide you with the Sustainability knowledge, mindset and action to make your and our world a better place. My understanding of Sustainability deepened during my Master’s Degree in Sustainable Food Systems and has been further extended by my endless passion for sustainable systems.
I truly believe that sustainable solutions not only address today’s pressing challenges, but that they are the key to the well-being of every species on our planet.
It is a big task, isn’t it? We are almost eight billion people. Eight billion brains have the capability to Reimagine Sustainability.
MY mission in this world is to …
Make Sustainability easy to understand and implement in every decision you make.
Let’s Make Sustainability Mainstream

Do We Need To Reimagine Sustainability?
Yes! Today more than ever, we need all hands on deck to solve the increasing challenges in the world. We are experiencing the consequences of decades of poor leadership and decision-making. All challenges have been caused by human action, so it should not be too hard to fix them, right? I know it is not as simple as this, but I truly believe that we already have the right tools to tackle the worst crises. Reimagine Sustainability is about supporting decision-makers like you (yes, you can easily become a Change Agent) to find your potential in creating sustainable systems.
The Search for Sustainability
One word that is defining the 21st century is Sustainability. But what is it really? Let’s break it up into its two parts – Sustain and Ability – to truly understand its meaning. Sustain, in its most basic form, means to allow something to continue for a period of time. It refers to the capability of maintaining any kind of system. Ability refers to the physical or mental power or skill needed to do something. Thus combining “Sustain” with “Ability” provides the basis to build systems which increase their capability of maintaining themselves in the best possible way. Maybe you have noticed that I take a different approach in defining Sustainability than what you have previously read.
The Freedom of Imagination
Reality is currently not portrayed in a rosy way. The “What Is” stories (like climate crisis, biodiversity loss, war, political decisions etc.) we read every day do not reflect the “What If” possibilities we have. One of the most powerful tools a human being can possess is their imagination. Our imagination helps us to form new ideas, images or concepts. It is our ability to be creative, resourceful and useful that allows us to confront and deal with problems. Even better, this ability is for free. Imagination helps boost social, emotional, creative, physical, and cognitive abilities and development. Hold on! Are we able to use our minds to create future solutions which can change the world for the better?
